2008 State of FOWD
The Fair Oaks Water District is entering 2009 with approximately $6M in reserves and no projected rate increase for the fourth consecutive year. During this four year period, the District completed two new groundwater supply wells, installed thousands of feet of new water main, completed the first Master Plan in twenty years, and increased the District’s presence in the community of Fair Oaks. Also accomplished during this four year period was the installation of over 1,000 meters per year; with the District installing more meters in 2008 than in any other year in its history. This was all completed while the District planned and designed the new administration building that was approved for construction in 2000.
