Barry Brown

Barry Brown is the current Director for Fair Oaks Division Three. Director Brown currently sits on the Board’s Internal Public Relations Committee. He acts as FOWD’s representative to the Sacramento Groundwater Authority and the San Juan Water District Executive Committee. He was elected to the Board in December 1985, and is the longest tenured Director on the Board. Though he is retired now, he once was the Irrigation Engineer for Western Farm Credit Bank. He also held a position with the State of California as a Land and Water Analyst. Director Brown has served in many capacities while on the FOWD Board. He has served as the District’s representative to the Regional Water Authority, Sacramento Groundwater Authority, National Rural Water Association, and numerous other advisory committees.
